Through up-skilling and professional networking support, the Sub-Branch will help members grow career skills and unlock new opportunities. Career growth initiatives currently being planned include:
- Professional development education sessions and resources;
- Job opportunity notifications from serviceperson-orientated recruitment agencies and employers;
- Information on skills development and training programs for ex-servicepersons; and
- Career networking and mentoring assistance from fellow sub-branch members.

The Department of Defence’s Engage Website provides an online directory of employment services to assist veterans and partners, including resume and job coaching, further education, recognition of prior learning and recruitment services.
The Australian Government’s Jobactive Website provides resources to help career decision-making and the job application process (e.g. resume coaching and cover letter coaching), as well as a Jobs Board for ex-servicepersons.
WithYouWithMe seek to help ex-servicerpersons identify their purpose and establish career pathways. Programs include free education and skill-gap training, career mentoring and access to new job opportunities.
Soldier On offer over 100 courses (free or reduced cost) for ex-servicerpersons via their education program. This program helps members develop new skills and gain recognition for existing skills.
Soldier On also provide job vacancy information for the attention of the serviceperson community.
Western Australian Government
For servicepersons who have left the ADF in the past five years, the Veterans Employment Transition Support Program provides mentoring, career information and job opportunities in the Western Australian Public Sector.
